Happy New Year!

Who's looking forward to the new year? I am, that's for sure! Things are going really well, especially for the club. As usual we had a great game last time. 4 new players rolled the dice; Dave, Esther, Gloria, and Michelle. Dave is about to retire from the Army and has a business that keeps him busy. Esther is already debt free and wants to learn how to make the most of her disposable income. Gloria is quite business savvy and is interested in tax lien certificates and tax deed auctions. Michelle is a busy mom of 5, (whew) who would like to put together a woman's investor group. Hey Michelle, you and Chris should put your heads together, Chris wants to organize a gang of "She investors" too. We had two game boards in play so we had two winners. Drum roll please...Tasha & Chris! Surprise, surprise :-) There were small prizes awarded to the winners. Tasha got a year subscription to a magazine. There was a list to choose from and she picked "Entrepreneur". Chris picked the "Real Estate Investor's College" 6 DVD set from Dolf De Roos. Congrats ladies, I've learned a lot by watching you play so look out! (he, he)

Club FYI

1. I forgot to tell you guys that Don Bolding, the business writer for "The Killeen Daily Herald", plans to write about our club. The article will appear in the Business Briefcase or he could possibly write a feature on us. He may attend a game in the near future when his schedule permits. I can't believe I forgot to tell ya...duh!

2. As you can see the newsletter is a little different. It is still a work in progress. I'm just kind of trying out a few different programs and learning as I go. I am totally open to suggestions for the newsletter. If there is anything you feel should be added or deleted let me now, your input is extremely valuable to me.

3. Many of our members have websites and I would like to place links on the club blog. If you would like to participate please e-mail me the URL you would like listed.

4. I have been trying to think of different ways to promote the club and would like your help. If you have any "no or low cost" ideas, please share, thanks!
